It took a long time to ‘break’ your body. It’s going to take time to remake it.
Rather than expecting weekly, monthly or tri-monthly lets instead think back to when you were a kid, how long did it take to develop the skills, strength and co-ordination to walk? We’re now talking 6 months to a year if not longer…A lot of that is joint strength and stability and that comes from the connective tissue. Remember what we said about connective tissue taking something like 260 days to regenerate where muscle takes 90? It’s now starting to make sense. We can apply the same train of thought to a lot of adult physical challenges and this may help ease the frustration of why it takes us so long to ‘learn new things’.
